The Opportunity As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), youll play a key role in supporting Maths teaching for post-16 learners, including GCSE resits and Functional Skills. Working closely with teaching staff, youll provide in-class support, deliver small group activities, and help students develop confidence in numeracy. Youll also assist with resource preparation and targeted interventions to ensure learners stay engaged and achieve their qualifications. About You Youll have experience supporting post-16 learners and a good understanding of the GCSE and Functional Skills Maths curriculum. A team player with strategies to engage students who may be disengaged, youll bring strong communication skills and a proactive approach. A Level 2 qualification in Maths and English is essential, along with a Level 3 qualification. Ideally, youll hold HLTA status.
