We are looking for an InSAR Processing Specialist who will work to support the execution of our client's strategy to deliver science to more end users via new and innovative methods.
This role involves working with a team dedicated to developing and delivering our SAR science to new end users that seek access to ground displacement data through innovative means.
The ideal candidate excels at implementing rigorous process to implement highly efficient InSAR production pipelines that produce high quality data.
SCOPE OF THE JOB
* Develop rigorous understanding of InSAR technology for both D-InSAR and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) based processing
* Assess existing systems and production processes to recommend / implement improvements
* Determine the most cost-efficient means to process imagery using a variety of data production processes (enterprise, cloud, on premise)
* Interact with product owners and scientists to understand the application technology direction/changes, standards and best practices
* Create and maintain documentation on best practices for InSAR processing
* Develop and / or maintain Python based scripts to enable efficient processing of data to support multiple groups across the organization (Pre-Sales, Customer Success, Delivery)
* Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks
* Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved
* Participate in development planning and prioritization sessions
* Convert raw image pixels into business consumable data
* Prepare client reporting through data interpretation
* Assist in business development through technical support
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of production experience, delivering high quality products to clients
* Master’s level or above in a relevant discipline (Geodesy, Earth Science, RemoteSensing, Engineering – for example Civil, Electrical, etc.)
* Knowledge of agile software development practices and ability to participate in development planning and prioritization sessions
* Understanding of the fundamentals of earth observation satellites, including data processing and the use of software and production pipelines to convert raw image pixels into business consumable data
* Project management skills and attention to detail for planning, execution, and reporting
Must have technical skills:
* Strong knowledge of InSAR processing techniques
* Competent scripting /Python
* Quality assurance and verification know how
Nice to have technical skills:
* Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Azure)
* Experience working in UNIX environments
* In-depth technical InSAR knowledge
* Specific InSAR experience in infrastructure, dam, mining or other asset monitoring
* Programming experience, e.g. Python
* Experience in large scale InSAR processing
* Experience dealing with clients
