As Director of Commercial, you will: Lead the development and delivery of a robust commercial strategy aligned with our organisational goals. Drive performance across all income streams, including admissions, retail, catering, events, and corporate partnerships. Optimise pricing, sales, and marketing activity in collaboration with relevant teams. Identify new business opportunities and lead commercial innovation. Deliver commercial targets and contribute to the organisation’s long-term sustainability. Provide inspirational leadership to multi-disciplinary teams focused on customer excellence and profit growth. You will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and play a key role in shaping our executive strategy, working closely with colleagues across operations, finance, engineering, and marketing. Person Specification We’re looking for someone who brings: Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role (e.g. tourism, transport, retail, heritage, leisure, or visitor attraction sectors). A proven track record of delivering income growth, improving margins, and enhancing the customer journey. Strong business acumen and the ability to translate strategy into measurable results. Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to build, develop and motivate high-performing teams. Analytical and data-driven decision-making, with sound budgetary and financial control experience. An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on innovation, partnerships, and long-term value creation.
