Employee Relations Advisor (Senior HR Advisor)
Monday to Saturday (1 Saturday per month on a rota basis and you'll get a day off in the week)
Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on solving complex people challenges and building strong relationships with managers?
We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded HR Adviser to join a growing team. This is a fast-paced, advisory-focused role where no two days are the same.
Location: Office based 1 day per week - Wirral, 4 days home
Salary: Up to £40k
Benefits: 25 days holiday, pension, health cashback plan, life assurance
Hours: Monday to Saturday (1 Saturday per month)

The role
* You’ll act as a trusted partner to managers, providing clear, practical HR advice across a wide range of employee relations matters.
* From handling sensitive cases to coaching managers through difficult conversations, you’ll play a key role in driving positive outcomes while protecting both people and business performance.
* Providing expert HR advice via phone and digital channels across a broad range of ER issues, including disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals
* Managing complex and sensitive cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective resolution
* Coaching and supporting managers to build confidence in handling people matters
* Escalating high-risk or complex issues where appropriate
* Ensuring advice aligns with agreed processes, policies and service standards
* Maintaining accurate case records using internal systems
* Supporting and mentoring more junior team members when needed
* Occasionally attending on-site meetings or supporting client facing initiatives
* Contributing to wider HR or transformation projects
What skills and experience we're looking for:
* Proven experience in an HR Advisory role, with strong exposure to employee relations
* Solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application
* CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) preferred
* Confident communicator, able to influence and build relationships at all levels
* Commercial, pragmatic approach to problem solving
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases
* A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting and developing others
