Job Title: Hardware Electronics Test Engineer
Location: Brentwood (Hybrid working - 4 days a week onsite)
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Hardware Electronics Test Engineer with strong hands-on testing experience to support hardware validation and compliance activities. The successful candidate will work within a structured test environment, producing high-quality reports and ensuring products meet required EMC, Radio, and Safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electronics background and an eagerness to learn within a compliance-focused testing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct hardware testing and validation activities
* Produce detailed test reports and documentation
* Operate electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analysers)
* Support compliance testing (EMC, Radio, Safety standards)
* Optimise test tools and scripting processes
* Analyse, organise, and present test data clearly
* Attend and support activities at external test houses
* Apply structured test and validation methodologies
* Strong engineering mindset with eagerness to learn
* Background in Electronics Engineering (or related discipline)
* Hands-on experience using electronics test equipment
* Knowledge of compliance standards (EMC, Radio, Safety)
* Experience using test scripts and validation methodologies
* Ability to sort, analyse, and present technical test data
* Willingness and ability to attend external test facilities
* Experience collaborating with developers to design test cases
* Ability to summarise complex technical information for different audiences
* Experience managing a test workstack or workflow
* Basic Python scripting experience
