We are hiring for a QA Raw Material Technologist who will be responsible for ensuring raw materials meet our standards and specifications and co-ordinate the continuous improvement of raw material supply. In addition to supporting budget setting and driving down the cost of packaging waste and faulty raw materials.
Location - Market Drayton
Contract - Full-time, Permanent
Main responsibilities:
1. Maintain awareness of the Muller standard testing requirements to ensure the site remains compliant at all times.
2. Accurately record results of raw materials testing.
3. Review the incoming material delivery schedule and develop a weekly inspection plan to meet the requirements of the site testing schedule for incoming goods.
4. Support the raw materials specialist and the raw material planners to ensure any specific testing priorities are considered when developing the weekly inspection plan.
5. Follow the appropriate SOP for the raw material being tested to ensure accurate assessment of quality for the batch received.
6. Organise testing cover to account for periods of planned absence.
7. Create a positive commitment to hygiene and safety to improve standards and remove potential issues and hazards.
8. Drive line performance through coaching of line operators and support managers in the improvement of OEE.
Requirements:
9. Packaging related apprenticeship or similar.
10. Achieved or working to a Level 3 in QA or Raw Material related topic.
11. HACCP Level 2.
12. Food Safety Level 2.
13. Previous laboratory experience.
14. Attention to detail is essential.
15. Ability to work on own initiative.
16. Ability to work under pressure and in a busy environment.
17. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
18. Experience using SAP modules is desirable.
19. Experience writing technical reports is desirable.
