My client is a growing, family-owned engineering business based in Leicester, operating at the forefront of their sector. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a skilled Project Engineer to join their Project Engineering team and help bridge the gap between design and successful on-site delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer who enjoys technical problem-solving, project variety, and working in a hands-on engineering environment.
The Role – Project Engineer:
1. Leading the technical aspects of assigned projects from inception through to completion
2. Working closely with the Drawing Office Manager to review, interpret, and implement technical drawings and specifications
3. Calculating and planning material and labour requirements to support effective project delivery
4. Acting as a key technical point of contact between design, site teams, and stakeholders
5. Attending the site to conduct surveys, oversee technical installation,s and resolve engineering issues
6. Maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations
7. Proactively identifying technical risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery
Minimum Skills / Experience Required – Project Engineer:
8. Proven experience in a Project Engineer, Project Engineering, or Technical Engineering role
9. Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings (CAD / BIM experience beneficial)
10. A practical, problem-solving approach to engineering challenges
11. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical details to non-technical stakeholders
12. A full UK Driving Licence (essential due to site travel)
13. Previous lift industry experience would be highly advantageous, but is not essential
