Job description: Your role in the team Assisting professionals in the delivery of commissions at all project stages. Assisting with technical and professional reports and associated advice. After a period of probation and as your confidence grows begin to operate more autonomously providing strategic advice allied to your professional background. Work towards your professional qualification alongside your practical experience. Individual duties (Please note these are generic and there will be some variance dependent upon the discipline.) Collating and organising technical building information from Designers / Line Manager. Investigating and offering technical advice on factors that affect building, including user needs, site and building surveys, and regulatory requirements. Liaising with other construction professionals in-house and external, including BS, QS, PM, SE, MEP Designers, etc. Coordinating detailed design information. Preparing specifications for construction work. Preparing designs using CAD software. Preparing drawings, plans, and documents for statutory approvals. Obtaining tenders for construction work. Preparing applications for approval by regulatory bodies. Contributing to meetings and document preparation. Visiting sites pre-contract and during construction phase. Researching new design processes, building legislation and technology. Skills and requirements Relevant accredited degree (anticipating minimum 2:1 for Graduate applications). Aspiration and drive to work towards membership of professional body (RICS / CIAT / CIBSE). Valid driving license. Ability to work under own initiative and within a team setting. Willing to travel by car and / or public transport in support of day-today work. Knowledge of MS 365 and Teams. Basic CAD knowledge (full training given for our systems).
