Overview
Our client is looking for a Production Engineer to work in the High Vacuum and Semi-Conductor industry, assembling and testing high temperature heaters and manipulation stages that operate in Physical Vapour Deposition Systems. This role involves building, testing and occasionally on-site installation (mainly in Europe, but also North America and Asia).
The candidate should ideally have experience in the Vacuum industry or a similar production style role, ideally with qualification at HNC level in Engineering. They operate in a very niche area and so training will be given, but experience of working within the Vacuum industry would be a great advantage.
The company operates in a very relaxed but fast moving, creative and close-knit environment. They require a person with a proactive approach to tasks, a problem-solving mindset, the ability to work hard and under pressure, and to work well both independently and as part of a team while keeping a positive outlook.
The role requires a driving licence and willingness to drive (and fly) to customers all over Europe and fly out to North America and Asia when required for installations.

Responsibilities

* R&D testing on standard and development products
* Following internal procedures to comply with ISO 9000
* Report writing and feedback for engineering
* Stocking and quality inspection where required
* Product installation and service visits
Requirements
* Experience in similar role (preferred)
* Vacuum knowledge (preferred, not critical)
* Assembly skills
* Electronics knowledge (preferred, not critical)
* Open to learning
* Good team player
* Problem solving
