Clinical Practitioner - Clinical Assessment Service – Join our Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) as a Clinical Practitioner and use your clinical skills to assess patients by phone and deliver safe, timely care as part of a supportive team.
Location: Anstey Frith House, Leicester, LE3 8RN
Working Patterns: Weekend hours only, shifts covering days, afternoons and evenings. Working on a 4-week rolling rota for part-time hours.
Salary: £53,770 - £60,721 (Band 8a.0); 30% evening enhancements and 45% weekend enhancements.
Annual leave: Standard 25 days + 8 bank holidays, increasing with service up to 33 days + 8 bank holidays. Pro Rata/Per Annum

Responsibilities
* Taking charge of autonomous clinical assessments, treatments, referrals, and providing advice to first-contact patients through direct contact consultations.
* Communicating both verbally, and non-verbally to establish rapport with patients and caregivers.
* Making confident decisions and communicating them effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding.
* Recognising and initiating where appropriate advice of relevant specialisms.
* Maintaining appropriate clinical records in line with current practice guidelines.
* Working effectively as part of a multi professional team in collaboration with other members of the service.
Qualifications
* To be registered and practicing with a Professional Body (NMC, HCPC, GPhC)
* Have evidence of autonomous practice
* To have worked in telephone triage previously
* Have a Level 6 or 7 qualification in the clinical examination module and the minor illness module
* To be motivated and show passion, positivity, resilience and determination in patient care
