As a relief colleague, you will step in to ensure we still provide excellent care and support during times of annual leave, training or sickness.
Responsibilities
As a Support Practitioner at Angus Court, you’ll support seven individuals with varied needs. Your main responsibilities include:
* Assisting with shopping, finances, cooking and appointments
* Providing personal care and housework support
* Encouraging participation in hobbies and interests such as socialising, bowling, arts & crafts, soaps and outings
* Supporting individuals during sleepovers, which are compensated separately (£107.60 per night)
Qualifications & Skills
You don’t need experience to start – we recruit on values and transferable skills. We look for:

We’ll fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees. If you do not live in Portlethen and are a non‑driver, you must be able to travel to our service.
Shift Patterns
We provide around‑the‑clock support, covering 0800–2200 hours, weekends, public holidays and rotating sleepovers. Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours but you’ll receive an additional payment of £107.60 per night.

Training & Professional Development
Successful candidates will join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and commit to an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy. Upon successful joining, you must register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting.
If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding a list of EU/EEA/UK countries) within the last 10 years while over 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate.
