The Role
This role will work across multiple teams in Health and Social Care to support them in finding innovative solutions for people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the use of OT methods, functional assessments and evidence‑based interventions that promote independence
- Work across organisations to deliver seamless, joined‑up support for individuals with complex needs
- Use your extensive knowledge of community equipment, prescribing equipment that supports people to live fulfilling lives at home
- Use your understanding of legislation around provision of equipment and adaptations to ensure the overall most appropriate, cost‑effective solutions
- Offer clinical leadership
- Contribute to service development, development of innovative practices, quality improvement and cross‑sector collaboration
About You
- Extensive experience in Occupational Therapy in community, reablement, or integrated care settings
- Strong understanding of OT models of practice, functional assessment, and interventions that promote independence
- In‑depth knowledge of community equipment, equipment stores, and how equipment provision supports safe, independent living
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to work effectively across organisations
- A passion for enabling people to live the lives they choose in their own homes
