Job overview We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Radiographer into our Angiographic services in Sheffield. We are England’s fourth-largest city and have a great history of providing high-quality care and clinical excellence. Training will be delivered in aspects of Vascular / Neuro Angiography and Interventional Radiology to develop knowledge, skills and competencies in the use of all angiography equipment, recognition and experience in clinical working practices. Training will be tailored to the individuals needs depending upon experience. A full preceptorship package covers progression to Band 6. All applicants must be an HCPC registered diagnostic Radiographer who has a keen interest in Angiography and Interventional Radiology. You should be prepared to work as part of a multi-professional team and demonstrate an ongoing commitment to undertake all training requirements including potential completion of a full preceptorship package for the post and obtaining the levels of experience required. All applicants are to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, are team players and who demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and deal with fluctuating demands of the service. Successful candidates will join our cross city on call from home commitments and be an effective team player. Your existing levels of catheter based Angiography experience will be the factor as to whether you are appointed at either band 5 or band 6. Main duties of the job Our Angiography services across the city consist of 4 labs utilising Philips Allura equipment, these support procedures such as Trans jugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt, SIRT and Transcatheter arterial chemoembolization. To provide a high quality, responsive diagnostic radiographic service as part of a multi-disciplinary team, whilst maintaining a high standard of patient care. To ensure that safe practice is carried out in accordance with departmental protocols. You will be required to maintain positive professional links with other medical and non-medical staff to promote effective service and standards within the catheter based Angiographic specialty. To take responsibility for, and direct, the organisation and workflow in the area in which they are working whilst recognising the global needs of the department and service delivery. Our current systems offer some of the most up to date dose saving techniques and a multitude of applications ensuring the best possible imaging is delivered across all areas. This is alongside the Emergency service care we provide 24 hours a day for Embolisation of Traumatic Haemorrhage and Thrombectomy for Stroke patients.
