The Council is seeking an Economic Growth and Regeneration Officer to collaborate with key internal and external partners, driving the delivery of projects and events that support our economic growth strategy and raise the profile of the borough.
The candidate will be responsible for the delivery, monitoring and reporting of projects within grant funded programmes, including the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and Pride in Place, ensuring funding is maximised and outcomes are achieved. The post holder will lead communications with local business community and implement practical initiatives to support them such as networking events.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of employment and skills funding, and the interventions required to improve careers opportunities for residents. The post holder will play also key role in attracting investment, improving the town and local centres, and delivering tangible benefits for our communities.
It's important that you have a good understanding of account and contract management. You should also have confident IT skills and be capable of translating research outcomes into concise, meaningful reports.
With excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, councillors, partners, and the public, representing the Council professionally, including outside standard working hours.
