The HR Business Partner is responsible for partnering with our first line managers, leading the business response to absence and ER cases, and managing a range of projects that support our site and drive the business forward. This position reports to the Senior HR Business Partner and is part of the wider UK HR Team. This role is located in Ilfracombe and will be an on-site role.

Who You are:

* CIPD qualified level 5 minimum
* Degree level education or time served equivalent
* At least 3 years of HR experience within a large multinational organisation in a HR Manager / Senior HR Advisor role
* Excellent working knowledge of employment law and significant experience supporting in disciplinary / grievance hearings up to and including dismissals
* Able to handle a varied workload, including managing project lifecycles to completion

What you will do, In conjunction with the Senior HR Business Partner:

* Pro-actively assist and advise managers on human resource issues, in accordance with employment law, best practice, policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment.
* Assist in the Growth & Development of associates by promoting the talent processes and ensuring managers are supported to coach and develop their team.
* Lead the site absence management program in line with the company absence management policy and applied consistently. Advise managers on absence issues, ensuring long-term corrective solutions.
* Manage and upkeep of the company’s absence management system.
* Compile daily / weekly / monthly data as required, outlining key HR activities, trends and progress against KPI’s and site/department objectives and maintain visual management displays where appropriate.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated effectively; pass on key information appropriately.
* Coordinate the annual Performance Appraisal Scheme for all OBT band associates to ensure their continued development.
* Coordinate the utilisation of Wellbeing Provision including supporting occupational health provision and leading wellbeing activities where required.
* Provide advice and support to associates on HR and employment matters including policy interpretation.

It would be a real plus if you possess previous experience in:

* Supporting change management activities as they occur, ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is maintained.
* Supporting, developing and maintaining cultural change processes to drive the business forward
