As Head of Social Media, you will lead the strategic direction, execution, and performance of Connells Group’s social media presence across all 80+ brands and business areas. You will be responsible for enhancing brand visibility, driving engagement, and supporting business objectives through innovative and data-driven social media strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Connells Group’s brand and business goals.
* Lead and mentor a team of social media executives and social media champions across the Group’s brands and branches.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure social media supports wider marketing and communications initiatives.
* Oversee content calendars ensuring consistent messaging and branding across appropriate social media channels.
* Monitor social media trends to identify new opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
* Collaborate with other Group teams by working with marketing, branding, and business units to integrate social media activities.
* Content & Engagement
* Oversee the creation of engaging, brand-consistent content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
* Ensure timely and relevant content that reflects market trends, seasonal campaigns, and audience interests.
* Manage influencer partnerships and user-generated content initiatives.
* Create engaging andcompelling posts, articles, videos, and other multimedia content aligned to business opportunities
* Develop and manage both organic and paid campaigns by creating and launching initiatives to promote properties and products and services.
* Optimise content to ensuring content is tailored to different platforms and audiences based upon geography and brands.
* Analytics & Performance
* Monitor, analyse, and report on social media KPIs to measure campaign effectiveness and ROI.
* Use insights to refine strategies and improve engagement, reach, and conversion.
* Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging trends.
* Work closely with design studio, website and customer communications teams to ensure cohesive visuals and messaging.
* Maintain brand integrity and compliance across all social media activity.
* Develop and enforce social media policies and crisis communication protocols.
Other Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and respond to feedback by engaging with customers and fostering a positive online community.
* Manage social media advertising by allocating budgets, targeting audiences, and optimising campaigns including robust timely reporting.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends,keeping abreast of new technologies and best practices.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Proven experience in leading social media strategy within a multi-brand or large-scale organization.
* Strong understanding of property, retail, or service-sector social media marketing.
* Expertise in social media platforms, tools (e.g. Brandwatch, Sprout Social, Hootsuite), and analytics.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
* Creative mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
