Events and Communications Manager
Location: Manchester
Hybrid: 2 days in the office per week
Contract: 15-month fixed-term contract, starting ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Events & Communications Manager to oversee external corporate events for our client. The role involves supporting business development, raising brand awareness, and managing event logistics from planning to execution.
Responsibilities include:
* Planning and coordinating monthly events.
* Managing logistics like venue bookings and marketing materials.
* Organizing internal events and managing budgets.
* Serving as the main contact for event inquiries.
* Providing on-site event support and post-event evaluations.
* Collaborating on event calendar development.
* Overseeing hiring of event staff as needed.
Communications duties include:
* Leading marketing strategies for events.
* Promoting events via email, social media, and personalized invites.
* Developing sponsorship packages and securing sponsors.
* Aligning messaging with internal teams and developing internal communication plans.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years’ experience in event management and communications.
* Strong logistical, strategic, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently.
Preferred skills:
* Experience in B2B marketing and team leadership.
* Proficiency with Zoom Webinar, Salesforce, Canva, and agency experience.
