We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced EI Craftsperson on days to join our Engineering Department at our Workington Mill. Joining us on a full-time, permanent basis, you will receive a competitive salary.

About the EI Craftsperson role:
We are seeking applications from experienced E/I Craftsperson’s to join our skilled team. The successful applicants will be part of a daywork rota system (Monday to Friday) whereby a generous holiday allowance of ten days leave every 7.5 weeks is built into the rota, some 12-hour shifts will be required as is participation in the on-call rota.
The function of the engineering department is to provide engineering resources to carry out preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance for all areas of the site, and also to provide expertise in most engineering disciplines to carry out plant modifications.
Our EI Craftsperson will be responsible for:
Adhering to health, safety and environmental procedures and engineering standards;
Maintaining the mill in an optimum and safe condition;
Using the engineering management system to source parts/information and select and report history in work orders;
Diagnosing faults and take action to rectify them;
Adhering to the permit to work/isolation system;
Working safely within safety and skill remit.
What we’re looking for in our EI Craftsperson:
A recognised Engineering apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 Minimum);
A minimum of one-year’s practical experience in a process industry;
Be computer literate with knowledge of ‘Windows Office’ suite;
Working knowledge of Plant Management databases;
Appropriate Health and Safety training – preferred IOSH Working Safety (minimum).
