Service Director, Children's and Justice Services
Salary: £148,732 (Scottish JNC single point 50)
Hours: 36 per week
The Service Director for Children and Justice Services reports to the Corporate Director for Children, Education & Communities. This strategic role is part of the senior leadership team and focuses on service excellence and positive outcomes for children, young people, and their families.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for Children and Justice Services.
- Offer advice, guidance, governance and support on all matters relating to the Service within the City of Edinburgh.
- Represent the Service at senior council meetings and foster collaboration across departments.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading in Social Work as a registered social worker within a local authority setting.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people.
- Strong governance, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
