About the Learning Support Assistant Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Lead classes in the teacher's absence and direct Learning Support Assistant teams
As a Learning Support Assistant you will support pupils using alternative communication methods (PECS, Makaton, AAC)
As a Learning Support Assistant you will promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction
Assist with personal care where required
Create a safe, stimulating, and respectful learning environment

Proven experience in SEND settings
Knowledge of communication strategies and sensory integration approaches
Calm, consistent, and adaptable approach
