At Sterilog Pudsey, our decontamination facility plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring that surgical and medical equipment are delivered to hospitals in a clean and surgically safe condition.
Your Role
At Sterilog Pudsey, our decontamination facility plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring that surgical and medical equipment are delivered to hospitals in a clean and surgically safe condition.
As a Production Technician you will operate washer disinfectors, sterilisers, and other decontamination equipment within the department. You will ensure that all instruments and sets are effectively decontaminated prior to being made available for use in operating theatres, clinics, and other medical settings.
This is a dynamic and hands-on role, offering a variety of tasks each day.
Key Details
Location: B. Braun Sterilog, Richardshaw Road, Pudsey, LS28 6QW. Free parking available on site.
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
We have the following shift times available: 06:00 – 14:00 or 14:00 – 22:00.
Please note, these are permanent shifts and are not part of a rotating schedule. You will have the option to select your preferred shift time when completing the application.
The salary for the role is £24,012 per annum.
Your Main Responsibilities
* Dismantling and preparing used surgical equipment for decontamination.
* Manually cleaning as per work instruction of heavily contaminated instruments.
* Loading of medical devices according to quality procedures and manufacturers recommendation into washer disinfectors.
* Undertaking quality control of individual items checking for cleanliness, surface changes and their safe use.
* Assembling and packaging of trays, sets and supplementary items according to instrument count sheets.
* Checking sterilised goods and their process documentation.
* Loading trays onto trolleys for despatch.

* Able to work in a methodical manner with attention to detail.
* Able to work as part of a team.
* Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Ability to learn and follow set routines and procedures.
* Conscientious and flexible.
* Previous experience of working in a production environment is beneficial, however we provide comprehensive training and continuous support to help you succeed!
