An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Force Crime Registrar Unit as an Assistant Crime Registrar (ACR). This is a hybrid role offering a combination of home and office based working, with our client Thames Valley Police and will be located at HQ South, Kidlington.
As an Assistant Crime Registrar you will promote and maintain ethical standards of crime and incident recording ensuring National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), National Standard for Incident Recording (NSIR) and Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR) compliance by acting as a Dedicated Decision Maker for the Force, providing specialist knowledge to colleagues and identifying good practice and areas for improvement for the Force in relation to crime and incident recording.
The successful candidates will provide a point of reference giving advice and guidance as a subject matter expert on the application of the National Crime Recording Standard (NCRS), the Home Office Counting Rules for Crime, the National Standard for Incident Recording (NSIR) and the National Incident Category List. You will promote and improve understanding within the Force of the importance of accurate crime recording in line with the Code of Ethics, supporting victims of crime and maintaining public confidence in the Force's response to reports of crime.
