Key responsibilities for the Chef de Partie are;
~ Run a smooth service, while ensuring that a consistent level of quality is maintained at all times.
~ Use an eye for quality to produce high quality items from fresh ingredients, whilst directing the junior kitchen team where needed.
~ Work with high quality fresh produce and organic ingredients as menus dictate.
Manage a section within the kitchen, maintaining standards and menu specification.
Develop and create seasonal dishes using fresh produce where ever possible.
Work closely with junior members of the kitchen and Sous Chef.
Observe and meticulously follow regulations on food storage, hygiene and temperature control.
Desired attributes for the Chef de Partie include;
Previous experience as a chef de partie within a high quality volume restaurant environment
Passionate about fresh food with a desire to learn and work hard
Keen to progress their career in a quality restaurant environment
