IT Auditor for Private Bank Technology and Digitalization

Location: Birmingham

The Group Audit (GA) function takes a proactive, risk-based and independent approach to assist the Banks business and infrastructure functions to identify key control weaknesses. You will be joining the global GA Private Banking Application & Digitalisation Technology team reporting to the global Principal Audit Manager (PAM) responsible for covering the Banks technology risks and controls across Private Banking and Digitalisation activities covering emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics process automation and cloud computing.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Deliver day-to-day IT audit work and contribute to audits (including risk assessment profiles and continuous monitoring) in line with Deutsche Bank Group Audit Methodology.
* Execute and document IT audit fieldwork in line with the agreed audit approach and budget, including documenting activity flows and testing of key controls (IT application management, automated controls, IT general controls) to determine whether they are adequately designed and operating effectively.
* Collaborate with other divisional teams to ensure an integrated audit approach across core banking activities, business process outsourcing, regulatory requirements, external vendors and complex project implementation.
* Discuss exceptions identified to enable drafting high-quality, impactful audit findings for review by PAM and, when required, support issue tracking and closure validation.
* Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships with audit colleagues, internal stakeholders and respective support areas.


Your Skills And Experience

* Audit professional who is a self-starter and can interact effectively at senior levels.
* Demonstrable audit and IT knowledge with an understanding of Information Security, IT processes and risks.
* Ability to work independently with limited oversight, learn complex concepts quickly, build strong relationships, be resilient under pressure, and collaborate with global audit teams.
* Understanding of internal control systems, risk-based auditing, and the relationship between IT risk and business risk.
* Innovative mindset with the ability to develop ideas that are implemented and have a positive impact. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German preferred).
