Role: FURNITURE TECHNICIAN (LAB)
Location: Kettering
Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week - Monday to Friday
Our client has a new vacancy for a Lab Technician to work in their Furniture department.
The Furniture department is an international centre of excellence for furniture testing, training, consultancy and innovation. Our expertise makes them the premier technical partner for suppliers, manufacturers and retailers of furniture and its components.
They test against national, European and international standards, as well as key retailer specifications, to give our customers the confidence that their furniture is fit for purpose and safe to use.
Responsibilities
* As a Furniture Technician you will be required to carry out the following:
* Preparation and conditioning of furniture prior to testing
* Testing and assisting with physical testing of mattresses, cabinets, tables and seating to British, European and international standards
* Maintain cleanliness of laboratory areas including assisting others with moving furniture samples
* Planning and agreeing testing schedules with customers and Head of Furniture
* Completing and maintaining training records
* Build strong customer relationships and host customer on-site visits
