Trainee Wealth Manager
Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 + bonus
An established and growing London-based wealth management firm is seeking a Trainee Wealth Manager to join its advisory team.
This opportunity is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career within financial planning. The firm offers a structured development pathway towards Chartered status, supported by formal training, exam support and hands-on experience alongside senior advisers.
The business provides holistic financial planning and investment advice to private clients and has experienced significant growth in recent years.
The Role
Working closely with a Senior Wealth Manager and their team, you will play a key role in supporting client relationships while continuing your progression towards becoming a fully qualified Wealth Manager.
This position would suit someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong technical foundations and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Attending client meetings alongside Wealth Managers
* Managing and completing post-meeting action points
* Carry forward, Annual Allowance and Lifetime Allowance calculations
* Investment research and analysis
* Preparing detailed cashflow modelling reports
* Responding to client queries (technical and administrative)
* Identifying cross-referral and business development opportunities within existing client relationships
* Managing workflow through CRM systems and internal tracking tools
Candidate Profile
This is a challenging and rewarding role suited to a confident, motivated and highly organised individual who enjoys taking initiative and working in a client-focused environment.
Essential experience and skills:
* Minimum of 2 years experience within a Wealth Management or Financial Planning environment
* Started studying CII R0 exams (or equivalent progress towards Diploma)
* Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and financial planning
* High attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Professional, proactive and positive attitude
* Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
