Job Title: Lead Clinician

Location: Claystone School - Bedfordshire LU1 4LL

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 Pro-rata, DOE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 8.30am-4.30pm

Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed based on your personal circumstances)

The Role

We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Claystone School in Bedfordshire. The postholder will work with the school's Senior Leadership Team and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and maintaining a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and SEMH needs, with a primary focus on EHCP plans. They will coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and lead service development of the school-based clinical service with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.

Location: Claystone School - Bedfordshire LU1 4LL. Claystone School forms part of our Options Autism brand and is an independent specialist day school serving children aged 4 - 11.


Essential Criteria

* BSc or MSc in Speech & Language Therapy or OT with HCPC registration and RCSLT (SaLT)
* Valid professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with the specialist client group (autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs)
* Clear and concise report writing for clinical and research activities
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to work dynamically within a growing and developing clinical service
* Experience of multi-professional work within the designated specialty (preferred)
