Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer, with Plant Machinery expertise? We are currently looking for a hard-working Field Service Engineer with proven hands-on Plant Machinery experience to join a growing team in Reading. This role involves the high quality servicing, diagnostics and repairs on plant and industrial machinery.
This is a hands on, field based role for a company whose turnover doubled in the last year, entrusting you to represent the business on customer sites nationwide.
Roles & Responsibilities
Working on a wide range of plant machinery including diggers, excavators, cranes, and similar equipment
Diagnosing faults across hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs
Approx. 70% field-based / 30% yard-based
Nationwide travel with occasional overnight stays
Working independently and managing your own workload
Completing job reports and maintaining high safety standards
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plant / Engineering
Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Field Service Engineer
Strong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
Experience working on a range of plant machinery (construction, quarry, hire etc)
Full UK driving licence
Ability to work independently and problem solve on-site
