Overview

:

First Military Recruitment are currently supporting one of our established and expanding removals businesses in the search for a Removals Assistant Branch Manager in Leeds.

This role involves overseeing moving crews, coordinating transportation and storage logistics, ensuring high-quality customer service, and supporting the branch manager with team leadership, compliance, and process improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Branch Manager in overseeing day-to-day branch operations.
2. Supervise and coordinate removal teams, drivers, and logistics staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
3. Plan, schedule, and dispatch vehicles and personnel for household, office, and commercial removals.
4. Conduct site surveys and risk assessments for removal jobs when required.
5. Manage inventory and storage logistics, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
6. Processing weekly wages to head office.
7. Completing and sending client invoices.
8. Credit control for the branch.
9. Provide excellent customer service, handling escalated customer issues and complaints professionally.
10. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, transport laws, and company policies.
11. Monitor and improve operational efficiency, cost control, and team performance.
12. Assist in training, mentoring, and evaluating staff.
13. Maintain accurate records of removals, deliveries, vehicle usage, and incident reports.
14. Support the Branch Manager with administrative duties, reporting, and audits.

Skills and Qualifications:

15. Exceptional attention to detail
16. Proven experience in the removals, logistics, or transportation industry (minimum 2 years preferred).
17. Previous supervisory or assistant management experience is desirable.
18. Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
19. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
20. Good working knowledge of logistics planning, vehicle routing, and storage procedures.
21. Familiarity with health and safety practices in a transport/removal setting.
22. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
23. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software (TMS, CRM, etc.).
24. Valid driver’s license (commercial license preferred).

BJ125: Removals Assistant Branch Manager
Location: Leeds
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 Per Annum
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, scheduled anytime between 7.00am and 5.00pm
