Were looking for a visionary Learning and Development Manager to lead our global learning and development strategy and help shape the future of knowledge within Ascom.
About the Role
As the Learning and Development Manager, you will lead the global training strategy, portfolio, and operations across the company. From implementing scalable digital learning systems to standardizing global training processes, you will play a critical role in enhancing employee competence, partner enablement, and organizational effectiveness. This is a highly strategic role with both global reach and high visibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a global training roadmap aligned with business strategy and market needs
2. Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of Ascoms training portfolio across internal and external stakeholders
3. Lead the implementation and management of a Learning Management System (LMS) to streamline course delivery, tracking, and learning paths
4. Standardize global training processes, tools, and assessment frameworks for employee development and certification
5. Ensure regulatory and audit compliance related to training and competence across regions
6. Promote digital-first, scalable learning solutions with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency
7. Act as the go-to expert for all training and development queries across the business
8. Lead and coach a global training team (10+ direct reports) and foster cross-regional collaboration
What Were Looking For
9. Higher education in a relevant field: L&D, HR, Business, Technical or Commercial discipline
10. 610 years experience in Learning & Development, including managing training life cycles and professional development programs
11. Deep knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g. ADDIE), digital learning tools, and blended learning concepts
12. Strong background in implementing LMS platforms and managing training operations globally
13. Experience in using learning evaluation models (e.g. Kirkpatrick's 4-Level Evaluation)
14. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional and international teams
15. Strong experience in Sales Training programs
16. Strong business acumenable to align training initiatives with organizational goals
17. Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
18. Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus)
19. Proven experience with Microsoft 365, project management, and collaboration tools
