Job Description
Reporting into senior leadership, the Operations Manager will have full responsibility for end-to-end manufacturing operations at the Winnersh site. This is a pivotal role focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and people leadership within a regulated manufacturing environment.Key responsibilities include:
3. Full ownership of site operations, including warehousing, planning, logistics, and facilities
4. Leading, developing, and motivating cross-functional operational teams
5. Driving continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency
6. Ensuring compliance with relevant quality systems, regulatory standards, and health & safety requirements
7. Managing operational budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics
8. Collaborating closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
9. Supporting capacity planning and future growth initiatives
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a hands-on and commercially aware operations leader with experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.You will ideally have:
10. Proven experience in an Operations Manage
11. Background in life sciences, diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated manufacturing
12. Strong people management and leadership capability
13. Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, CI frameworks)
14. Experience with shipping to Ireland is highly desired
15. Strong financial acumen
16. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
17. The ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational delivery
