Customer Service Assistant - Join Our Team at Gatwick Airport! Here at National Car Parks, we believe that exceptional customer service is the key to a great parking experience. As a Valet Parking Customer Service Assistant at Gatwick Airport, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations, assisting our customers, and helping maintain the high standards we are known for. This is a fixed-term contract, from the 25th March 2026 - 31st October 2026, for our very busy summer season. You'll be working 4 on/4 off (alternating days and nights) from 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am. Key Responsibilities: Engaging with Customers: Providing top-notch customer service with a smile. Meet and Greet: Providing a safe and efficient driving and parking operation Grounds Maintenance: Keeping the surroundings clean and attractive with tasks like weeding, painting, and cleaning. Safely driving and parking customer vehicles within the Birmingham Airport Estate and designated parking areas Carrying out vehicle inspections before moving vehicles, recording any existing damage where required Regular Foot Patrols: Ensuring the safety and security of the car park. Maintaining high standards of care when handling customer vehicles at all times Following operational procedures and safety guidelines within the airport environment Ensuring vehicles are parked accurately and efficiently within allocated bays Reporting any vehicle or operational issues to the on-site management team Who You Are: Friendly & Confident: You are approachable, enjoy engaging with customers, and thrive in a team environment. Self-Motivated: You work well independently, are proactive, and can handle tasks without constant supervision. Problem-Solver: Quick on your feet, you’re able to resolve issues efficiently and ensure a positive customer experience. Adaptable & Flexible: In a fast-paced environment, you’re able to adjust and learn on the go, keeping up with evolving operational needs. Detail-Oriented: You’ll be mindful of all aspects of the role, from handling payments to ensuring safety standards are met. Skills & Experience: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Strong multitasking abilities – able to handle multiple duties and stay organized. Effective complaint resolution skills, ensuring customer satisfaction. Punctual with good time management. Previous customer service or parking experience is a plus, but not essential – full training will be provided. Additional Requirements: Knowledge of health and safety protocols. A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
