We are currently seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic individual, passionate about early years, to join our team. As an Early Years Apprentice, you will focus on providing high‑quality, affordable childcare for children aged 9 months to 5 years.
Key Details
Salary: £7.90 per hour.
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, rotating shifts of 7 am to 4 pm, 8 am to 5 pm, 9 am to 6 pm. 30‑minute break. 42.5 hours per week.
Location: Buds that Blossom, Wharf Rd, Wendover, Aylesbury, HP22 6HF.
Apprenticeship: 19 months expected duration, working towards an Early Years Level 3 Apprenticeship. All learning is delivered online/remote.
Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider).
Duties
* Work effectively with colleagues to ensure the learning environment meets all children’s individual needs and is responsible for key children and cohort tracking.
* Contribute to the room planning.
* Understand the requirements of the EYFS, health and safety and Ofsted.
* Fulfil the role of a Key Person and partner with parents/carers, ensuring all children’s individual needs are met, including observing, planning and evaluating developmental activities.
* Ensure key children’s learning, journeys, next steps, and cohort tracking is up to date.
* Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with parents, children, colleagues and visitors.
* Prepare daily activities for all children in line with the EYFS.
* Interact effectively with all children.
* Follow the process for new children and children who are transitioning, and ensure all paperwork is up to date.
* Carry out peer‑to‑peer observations termly.
* Assist with setting up the room in the morning, throughout the day and closing the room in the evening.
* Support the team with hygiene for children including nappies, toileting, face and hand wiping and changing a child’s clothes.
* Maintain records and reports.
* Assist with general cleaning, tidying and sterilising.
* Contribute to the display boards.
* Adhere to and implement all nursery policies and procedures.

About The Employer
Buds that Blossom in Wendover is situated on Wharf Road on the school campus, next to the swimming pool. It is a purpose‑built, single‑level building to allow for easy access into our outdoor spaces for the children. We have two main rooms, Buds and Blossoms.
