Are You a Strategic Storyteller and Change Agent?
You're someone who sees marketing and communications not as a megaphone, but as a dynamic conversation. You understand that transforming perceptions requires both push—compelling, tailored content that informs and excites—and pull—mining insights from communities to stay connected to what matters. The Innovation Foundation is seeking a marketing and communications leader who can position us as pioneers reimagining corporate philanthropy through engagement of philanthropic organizations and practitioners in social innovation.
About The Innovation Foundation
The Innovation Foundation is the corporate foundation of the Adecco Group, which operates as a Social Innovation Lab supporting sustainable livelihoods by creating practical solutions to increase the employability and access to labor markets for underserved populations. As a Social Innovation Lab, the Innovation Foundation identifies people who are falling out of the workforce and their unmet needs (Scan phase). We use design thinking and co-creation to develop prototype solutions to meet those needs, working with experts and end-users (Build phase). These prototypes are then built into products and ultimately taken out into the world with the right partners on the ground (Scale phase). Empowered by the Adecco Group, the global Innovation Foundation leverages the vast know-how of a Fortune Global 500 company and the world's leading talent advisory and solutions company.
Why this role matters
How we show up in the world directly influences our ability to create impact. Your work will position the Foundation as a cutting-edge leader, demonstrating what's possible when foundations move from grant-giving to innovation catalysts. You'll craft narratives that attract the right partners, inspire peers to adopt our ways of working, and engage stakeholders directly with our projects. This requires strategic thinking combined with relentless execution—transforming our marketing and communications approach to match our organizational evolution.
Who you are
You are a senior marketing and communications professional, with a proven track record in strategy, transformation and achieving results in innovative ways. You are relentlessly curious and plugged into the current trends in the fields of employment, philanthropy and social innovation. You enjoy the balance of developing a strategy and driving execution – you are able to be a multiplier.
This role reports directly to the Managing Director, with a high level of autonomy, decision-making and freedom. You must be able to scope quickly, experiment, move fast and take decisions. As the marcom expert within the Innovation Foundation’s small, dynamic team you will set the engagement strategy and then mobilize internal and external resources (agencies, freelancers, partners, etc.) for implementation. You are adept at building relationships and influencing others while working in a matrix.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Transform the Foundation’s strategic approach to marketing and communications, creating a dynamic push-pull approach of feeding of compelling, current content and pulling data, stories and insights from our community
* Position the Foundation as cutting-edge leader, transforming the face of philanthropy
* Work closely with an array of stakeholders across the lab cycle of Scan, Build and Scale (researchers, end users, partners, Venture Teams, etc.) to constantly capture and leverage storytelling and insights from the ground
* Sharpen our thought leadership focus and external representation to ensure we show up where it matters and reach our core audiences where they are
* Own and drive the Foundation’s narrative and voice, maintain the brand integrity
* Drive delivery by mobilizing a mix of internal and external resources (own work, agencies, freelancers, partners, etc.)
* Use data and analytics to drive strategic decision-making and measure impact
* Be bold, move fast and learn constantly
WHAT YOU’LL GAIN
This is not a traditional marketing and communications job. It’s a chance to transform the approach of marcom to match the new strategy of a pioneering organization that is reimagining corporate philanthropy. You’ll work directly with thought leaders, experts, end-users and innovators. It gives you the chance to test cutting edge technology and ideas, try new approaches, fail fast and move forward. You’ll be part of the Foundation’s small, agile team with the backing of a global company where you have space to stretch your creative skills, bring fresh energy, and shape the role to your own strengths and ambitions.
If you’re a storyteller, strategist, and self-starter who wants to make a meaningful mark in the world of work, then this is your platform.
