Payroll & Pensions Manager Salary: £42,000 £45,000 per annum Location: Cambridgeshire (hybrid working available) Hours: 37 hours per week Permanent | Full Year Morgan Parkes Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Payroll & Pensions Manager on behalf of a well-established education organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of a busy payroll and pensions function within a complex environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll and pension services, whilst maintaining compliance with all statutory and contractual requirements. As the Payroll & Pensions Manager you will also play a key part in the ongoing development and optimisation of the HR/Payroll system, supporting reporting, automation and process improvements across the organisation. Key Duties Manage and process the monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy across PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments Submit FPS and EPS returns to HMRC and complete all year end payroll duties Monitor and validate payroll input across the HR/payroll system to ensure compliance and accuracy Manage pension processes for LGPS, Teachers Pension Scheme and Auto Enrolment requirements Complete monthly pension reconciliations and statutory pension reporting Act as the first point of contact for payroll and pension related queries Liaise with HMRC, DWP and external pension providers regarding payroll and pension matters Line manage and support the Payroll/HR Administrator Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external system providers to maximise system functionality and automation Develop workforce reporting, metrics and forecasting information to support management decision making Produce payroll forecasting and annual budget information for Finance Deliver training and support to users of the HR/Payroll system Ensure payroll and HR systems remain updated and compliant with current legislation and best practice Attend relevant user groups and maintain knowledge of legislative and regulatory changes Key Skills & Experience Required Previous payroll management experience within a medium to large organisation Detailed knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation and national insurance regulations Experience managing pensions administration, including LGPS and Teachers Pension Scheme Strong understanding of payroll systems and reporting tools Experience working with HR and Payroll systems such as iTrent (MHR) would be advantageous Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational and problem solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage confidential information professionally and discreetly Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team environment Payroll and pensions qualifications such as CIPP or AAT would be advantageous Additional Information This role is offered on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week.
