JOB DESCRIPTION
Purolite, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join our amazing technical sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for existing account management and executing new business development goals related to their geographical territory and / or assigned accounts.
Job Characteristics:
Advanced level field position responsible for the sale of the company’s products within an assigned territory or geographic region to both new and existing customers. Provides expertise and customer service to accounts.
Builds relationships with customers to influence the acceptance and use of company’s products.
Identifies and profiles key accounts and demonstrates ability to build rapport and develop customer relationships.
What will you do?
Based in the southeast of England, you will:
1. Support, maintain and improve our existing customer relationships.
2. Understand the technical details involved with selling ion exchange resins and absorbents.
3. Provide technical assistance to existing and future customers
4. Understand markets that use ion exchange and future trends.
5. Attend and promote trade shows as the business requires
6. Be a team player and assist other sales territories if in need.
7. Generate professional quotes with supporting documentation in line with the company’s Products, goals, and initiatives.
8. Negotiate commercial terms that facilitate the best outcome for the business.
9. Support the sales office and communicate with customers during the order execution process.
10. Continuously follow up with customers to understand their current and future ion exchange needs.
11. Provide and maintain CRM data related to existing and new customer prospects.
12. Provide monthly sales value and volume forecast to the best of your ability.
13. Meet or exceed goals as defined by the business
This is a remote role, with 20 – 40 % travel, some international.
Minimum Qualifications
14. Undergraduate degree in engineering, science, or related field
15. 10 years of experience in Ion Exchange industry
16. Proven sales and negotiation skills
17. Demonstrated ability to articulate key aspects of product lines and services
18. Communicate well leveraging various technologies and across high level of customer interactions
19. Valid license with good driving record
20. Reside in assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications
21. Master's degree or higher.
22. Experience in relationship management and negotiation.
23. Proven ability to mentor less experienced sales associates
24. Comprehensive understanding of water treatment processes and equipment (subject matter expertise)
25. Ability to leverage in-depth perspective of financial drivers
