Position Overview:
RWDI offers a permanent full-time opportunity for an Air Quality Engineer in the Air Quality team based in London.
This technical role includes, but is not limited to:
* Strong practical, verbal/written communication, IT, numerical skills, and problem-solving abilities;
* Experience with GIS (QGIS);
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
* Planning and executing technical project tasks, including data collection, analysis, and QA/QC procedures;
* Understanding of LAQM, UK planning, and legislation;
* Performing engineering and scientific estimation calculations for emission rates;
* Working within strict schedules and project milestones while maintaining quality;
* Writing technical reports presenting methodology, results, and recommendations;
* Conducting site visits and participating in client meetings;
* Adhering to health and safety procedures and guidelines.
We welcome applications from candidates with the following qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in related engineering/science disciplines, with advanced degrees preferred;
* Ideally progressing towards full membership of the IES and the IAQM.
Candidates should also possess:
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;
* Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects;
* Drive for continuous process improvement and efficiency;
* Excellent organizational skills and a methodical approach;
* Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and surveys;
* A full, clean UK driving license.
Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
* AERMOD and CALPUFF dispersion modelling;
* Basic programming knowledge, e.g., R, Python, Linux.
