Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
About the role:
A vacancy has arisen for a full time, HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist in our Molecular Virology Department based in Central London on a part time basis.
Duties for this position will include helping with the daily running of the laboratory section to which you have been assigned within the Department of Virology. Additionally, you will assist in the performance of the routine diagnostic analytical work of the department as directed in order to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results. You will maintain the highest professional and technical standards in the department and lead, motivate, supervise and train staff of lower grades.
The job holder will be expected to process and test patient specimens in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures by using manual, semi and fully automated laboratory methods.
