We are currently recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the team at a school supporting children aged 5-19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and resilient professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives. Successful candidates who integrate well into the team may be considered for a permanent position.
About the Role:
* Support students with SEMH needs in both group and 1:1 settings
* Implement personalised behaviour strategies
* Foster positive relationships with students and staff
* Maintain a calm, consistent, and proactive approach
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the wider team
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience working with children or young people - ideally in SEMH or similar settings
* Confident, adaptable, and able to hit the ground running
* Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
* Ability to build trust quickly with students and staff
* Resilience in challenging environments; calm under pressure
* Excellent behaviour management skills
* Reliable, proactive, and a team player
