Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 3 clinical support assistant to work within our Northumberland Partnership. You may be expected to work between both Blyth and Ashington bases with support in other areas where needed/appropriate.
The role entails working with those affected by substance and alcohol misuse. You will be expected to support in the providing of safe and effective interventions, harm reduction advice, and use of psycho-social interventions to support service users to consider and achieve recovery.
The team consists of a well-established mix of professionals that work collaboratively to deliver individualised care.
The role involves individualised clinical assessment, care planning, formulation, and collaborative working across the multi-agency team.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the delivery of care to service users who have a variety of needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health conditions, cognitive and/or learning disabilities under the direction of a registered practitioner. The overall responsibility for the service user remains, at all times, with the registered practitioner. To implement and evaluate care within a prescribed framework as a member of the care team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this promotes recovery and wellbeing and maximises independence. To support the team in providing excellent and effective person-centred care. To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity. To actively engage with supervision and appraisal process as identified in Trust policy.
