Nursery Practitioner
We are looking for a member of staff to join our busy nursery. We are based on the army barracks at Thorney Island, in a quiet location. The role would be to work with children from age 9 months to 4 years, along with primary school age children before and after school.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated member of staff, who holds a full and relevant childcare qualification. The successful candidate needs to be able to work on their own initiative as well as work as part of a team, showing flexibility while working with all age groups. They must be reliable and trustworthy and have a real passion for working with children, providing them with activities to meet their individual needs.
Job Purpose:
To create effective planning that will challenge and stimulate the children using their interests and next steps.
* To deliver planning and activities with enthusiasm and knowledge to ensure best outcomes. To provide your primary attention to the activity and the children taking part whilst being mindful of other children within the room.
* To take on key worker responsibilities and duties to maintain high quality learning journals using the Tapestry system.
* To support the children during free flow activities and opportunities safely.
* To ensure children are prepared and equipped to tackle all activities; aprons/wet weather suits
Requirements:
* Shift Pattern - 7.30-5.30 Monday to Thursday and 7.30-3 on Friday, early and lates during the working week. (term time only)
* Salary - Experience and qualifications will reflect in the salary offered
* Full UK Driving License
* Level 3

Room Leader
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated member of staff, with previous leadership skills or someone that is ready to take on a new challenge. They must hold a level 3 (or above) childcare qualification. The successful candidate needs to be able to work on their own initiative as well as work as part of a team, guiding others to ensure the highest level of care towards the children, showing flexibility while working with all age groups. They must be reliable and trustworthy and have a real passion for working with children, providing them with activities to meet their individual needs. Any SEND experience would also be a benefit for the setting.
Job Purpose:
* Support Deputy Manager/Manager to create and maintain excellent standards of care in a stimulating fun environment which enables learning and development of happy enquiring minds.
* To work collaboratively with the Deputy Manager, Nursery Manager and other team members in meeting the personal, social and learning needs of children, including those with special needs and/or bilingual needs, and to establish positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
* To represent the Nursery in a professional manner at all times by valuing the building, wearing correct uniform, respecting confidentiality and dealing with matters professionally and sensitively
Requirements:
