Responsibilities
The Home Health Aide is responsible for providing patients with in-home personal care and designated health related services to maintain the patient's physical and emotional well-being, while following the written plan of care, Medicare/Medicaid regulations and agency policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
License Requirements
* Successful completion of a competencyevaluation.
* Current CPR certificationrequired.
* Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or publictransportation.
Additional State Specific Requirements
* NY: Successful completion of a basic training program in home health aide services or an equivalentexam approved by the Department with written evidence ofcompletion.
Skill Requirements
* Must be mature and able to deal effectively with the demands of a home health aide position. Able toread, write, and carry out directions promptly andaccurately.
