About Endeavour Co-operative Academy
Endeavour Co-operative Academy, part of Keys Co-operative Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated class teacher to contribute to the high-quality teaching and learning at our school. Applications from primary or secondary trained teachers are welcome.
This is a great opportunity to be part of Endeavour as we expand, opening an additional Key Stage 3 class and a primary Complex Needs provision from September 2025. We are currently redeveloping our main site, funded by the DfE, for learners aged 5-16, due for completion in 2026, and our sixth form site will also be redeveloped soon, funded by Essex.
The successful candidate will teach across any Key Stage, as all teachers are expected to be versatile within the school. The specific placement will be decided after the interview. Experience or willingness to teach vocational courses is advantageous.
School Background
Endeavour joined Keys Cooperative Trust in December 2018 and is part of ESSET, the Essex special schools' association. We encourage visits before applying; please contact Deputy Headteacher Matt Davis at mdavis@kcat.co.uk to arrange.
About the School
Endeavour Co-operative Academy is a 5–19 school for 172 students, all with EHCPs, primarily with Moderate Learning Difficulties. Classes typically have 12 pupils and 1.5 Teaching Assistants. Teachers serve as class tutors, responsible for registration, reports, and annual reviews.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment procedures, including safeguarding checks.
Construction of a new building started in January 2024, expected to be completed by September 2025 or January 2026.
