Job Overview

You will also take a wider leadership role as part of the Operations Catchment Services Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
* Providing expert input to the National Framework for Water Resources
* Managing programmes to deliver sustainable abstraction
* Drought planning and drought management
* Developing talent and skills in water planning
* National modelling for water resources and groundwater
* Shaping and scrutinising Water companies' statutory Water Resource Management Plans
* Leading a department of over 70 technical experts in Operations Catchment Services
Qualifications and Skills
* Authentic leadership with a strong team focus
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with a strong customer focus and influential abilities
* Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and simplify complex problems
* Working knowledge of water resources management and understanding of environmental, political and economic pressures affecting the sector
* Experience managing programs and operational delivery within a national service context
Experience / Skills Required
* Demonstrated ability to develop and support teams
* Strong communication and influencing skills to win stakeholder support
* Proven track record of delivering results on time and to required standards
* Knowledge of water resources planning, water company account management and data analysis
