In this role you will be responsible for a team of 5 Ops buyers and manage the delivery performance of both the team and the suppliers to ensure first‑class communication to all areas of the business. You will need to continuously bring improvements to the purchasing department to bring greater productivity and efficiency into the business.
 * Manage and coach a team of up to 5 Ops Buyers to ensure continuity of supply.
 * Attend daily meetings on behalf of the purchasing department to provide regular updates.
 * Create and maintain KPIs showing the performance of suppliers.
 * Manage and support projects in and around the business to ensure the best possible supply.
 * What do you need to be successful in this role?
 * A CIPS/APICS qualification or equivalent work‑place experience.
 * Strong Leadership and People Skills.
 * Strong analytical and IT Skills.
 * Be inquisitive: always looking to find creative solutions to work better!
 * Be driven: both to deliver results for our customers and to develop yourself.
 * Calm approach under pressure.
 * Great to have?
 * A full UK driving licence to make it easier for you to visit suppliers.
 * SAP or a similar ERP system experience.
 * Experience in using problem‑solving techniques.
 * A good sense of humour, no matter what the challenge.
