Job overview
30hrs per week. We are looking to recruit a part time Receptionist to work in the Urgent Treatment Centre as part of our Emergency Services Directorate. You will need to have a flexible approach to work as you will cover various shifts across both of the UTCs. New Cross UTC is open 24 hours per day 365 days of the year and Phoenix Health Centre is open 365 days of the year 0800 hrs. to 2000 hours.
This role is primarily patient centered and a caring, professional attitude is essential to your success. You will be working within a team of clinical and administrative staff where teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential.
As part of the team you will be registering patients onto the Trust computer systems and carrying out a variety of administrative tasks. Knowledge of all common computer applications including Word is essential. Specialist training will be given on in-house systems. You should have a good standard of general education and have qualifications in English & Mathematics e.g. GCSE or equivalent. It is desirable that you have held a full UK Driving License for at least 2 years as you will be required to undertake driving duties. To provide a comprehensive, effective, accurate and timely service to healthcare professionals, patients and their representatives attending the Urgent Treatment Centers. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, be patient focused and possess the ability to multi-task and priorities, paying particular attention to detail. The ability to work independently and as part of the wider team in order to provide a comprehensive, safe and efficient service ensuring patients receive the best possible service.
