Remarkable Autism Ltd is a charity with aspirational growth plans that is looking for energetic and passionate individuals to volunteer as an Ascent College Community Governor.


About the Role

As a community governor, in this volunteer role, you will collaborate with the Governing Body, Trustees, and Senior Leadership team to ensure effective governance and strategic direction. You’ll also play a vital role in aligning charity funds with their intended purpose to benefit students and the community.


Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with the Governing Body, Trustees, and Senior Leadership team.
* Provide a strategic perspective and support effective governance.
* Ensure charity funds are used to maximise benefit for students and the community.


Required Experience & Skills

* A strong commitment to the role and to improving outcomes for autistic young people.
* Good interpersonal skills, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* The drive to support all aspects of effective governance, including undertaking training and development activities.
* Experience in education, special educational needs and disabilities, and a willingness to learn about further education and autism.
