Ward Clerk – Frailty Unit BGH

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Borders General Hospital for a flexible, enthusiastic individual to join new Frailty Unit.
You will provide clerical and administrative support to the Frailty Unit and the provision of reception duties at the nurses’ station, dealing with telephone calls and face-to-face queries from staff, patients and carers and relaying information accurately and appropriately.
The post holder will communicate verbally and by telephone on a daily basis with all levels of staff within the hospital and with patients and carers. They will also be required to communication with other agencies and organisations as appropriate i.e Social Work, the Scottish Ambulance Service and voluntary organisations.

Please note: the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
