The Opportunity
In the role of Highway Inspector, here’s an example of what you’ll be doing to make an impact:
- Carrying out a citywide planned programme of safety inspections of all highway assets, keeping accurate records to identify defects which require action and process works orders for repair.
- Carrying out citywide inspections on utility apparatus, plant and operations, in accordance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
- Assess, investigate and respond to a wide range of customer enquiries and complaints.
- contributing to the planned citywide resurfacing programmes with observations of overall condition and deterioration of roads and footways.
- Provide consent to the licensing of skips, scaffolds and hoardings on the public highway.
- Approving requests for domestic and commercial vehicular access
