Location: Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent (ST4)
Hours: 7.30-5pm, Monday to Friday (No weekends)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

Main Purpose of the Role
As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing Conquip OEM equipment, ensuring efficient and effective repairs. This role requires an 'out of the box' thinker when approaching each job, as no two days are the same.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for the following:
Carrying out repairs, servicing, and set up of Conquip OEM equipment, including non-mechanical plant and machinery. Some welding work may be required.
Performing spray painting of equipment as needed.
Completing basic computer work to maintain necessary certifications.
Organising daily work with guidance from the line manager.
Driving a counterbalance forklift and operating an overhead crane.
Conducting thorough inspections of all lifting equipment on site and signing off on behalf of Conquip. Ensuring compliance with LOLER regulations.
Maintaining a professional manner while dealing with a variety of people on site.
Being flexible with working hours, as required by the construction industry.
Participating in any necessary training.
Basic Skills Required
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
Ability to work well in a team.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Experience with welding.
Creative thinking for repairs.
Experience with LOLER regulations is beneficial.
